Child Care
Childcare-Two hour minimum a month for at least six months spending
time with children from one family to give the parents a break. You
will work directly with our volunteer coordinator, Erin and be matched
with one family. This is the highest need we currently have. Activities
could be in the family’s home, at the Clara’s Hope Family Center, or
in the community with permission from the parent(s). To most
effectively meet the needs of the children, volunteers should not bring
their own children for these activities. Mandatory trauma training
will be provided.
Meals

You will initially schedule through our volunteer coordinator, Erin and be
matched with a team / family based on your location. Afterward you will
schedule with the family for the same day each month, or whatever
works best for you. This makes SUCH a difference to families that have
said YES to a child or children in foster care or have adopted.
Freezer meals

this is great for a group to do together. Parameters for freezer meals
are:Make meals for about 4-6 people (at least two of each kind so we
can give 2 to larger families). Double freezer bag them or be sure they
are in disposable non-leaking dishes. Please bring to Clara’s Hope

them (buns, tortillas, chips, etc.)
